A wellness program focused on helping those in recovery increase their emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness is an important aspect of transitional living at The Texas House. We work with our residents to help them understand how to take care of their mind and body.
Wellness programs help those in recovery to feel better, gain a positive outlook on the future, increase their confidence, and increase their overall wellbeing – all important aspects of maintaining abstinence.
The Key Aspects of a Wellness Program
We work with our residents to teach them skills that they either did not have before recovery or that they may have forgotten. A successful wellness program will cover a wide spectrum of skills and ensure that those in recovery focus on mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
Since long term recovery will require healthy habits, our residents are given the opportunity to learn new wellness skills and practice them in a safe environment before they return home. By learning, practicing, and reinforcing the key aspects of a personal wellness program in the safe, structured environment of our sober living home, our residents are better prepared to use those skills at home.
Wellness at The Texas House
At The Texas House, we work with each of our residents to help them increase their emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. We offer a beautiful outdoor meditation garden, individual and group counseling, life skills education, healthy meals, a personal trainer, a gym membership, and more, in order to give our residents the opportunity to focus on their total wellbeing.
Our goal is to offer those in recovery a healthy future built on a solid foundation of personal wellness and a greater chance of sustained success once they return home.
